We used larger axles on 4.5 tonne assemblies to be on the safe side. 12" Backing Electrics are rated to 2.5t per axle creating a really safe trailer setup. 5 tonne Electric stopping power on a 6tonne axle setup mean this trailer setup is virtually indestructable.

All you need to tell me is your axle width. Measure the offset in your wheel (measurement from where wheel bolts onto the hub to the outer tyre). Measure your chassis width. Add 50mm each side for clearance between wheel and chassis. You now have the total face to face measurement of your axle.
Example: Offset is 125mm. Chassis Width is 1750mm. Your face to face measurement is 2100mm.
